Just heard that Kenny Ball has died. I'm sorry; I loved trad jazz when I was young. Amazingly, he was eighty two and according to his website, was booked to play Grantham tomorrow. What a trouper.
I was sorry to hear it as well. I remember him so well from my youth in particular. Trad Jazz was big in the 1960s. I loved his Midnight in Moscow. Thanks for posting the vid, B. x
Midnight in Moscow has been in my head a lot. Yesterday morning, in the 'what was #1 the day you were born?' slot, the record turned out to be March of the Siamese Children. 1962.
