When men were all asleep the snow came flying

030215snow

Current view from the window beside my desk. It's not very deep but it's buried the snowdrops. Only fox tracks have disturbed it.

The header is the first line of London Snow by Robert Bridges.

It looks very pretty. Much the same here.

I like the poem (note the user pic I have been using).
I read the poem when I was a child and liked it. All your user pics are brilliant!
Nice line, and nice snow!
Glad you like it. The snow has nearly all gone but is clinging stubbornly to my car.

Delivery man this morning advised me to avoid Allenview Road as it was solid ice and he'd seen someone skid on it! It's always bad there; they never grit it.
Yikes! Vanished without a trace here now, but it was pretty (and entirely unexpected, so that I exclaimed when I opened the curtains) first thing.
What a lovely view. You had more than we did here in N Wiltshire, but it made the traffic mad for some reason!

Love the header.
Whatever snow didn't thaw yesteray is still lying around, frozen, this morning. Brr.

I thought it was apt. I was really surprised to draw the curtains and see snow.
So pretty! I miss snow.
Pretty but inconvenient. I can see how you might miss it, though
Even you've had more snow than us and you're further south! It looks lovely.
It was pretty, and surprising, as it wasn't forecast. There have still been a few frozen lumps lying around today. This is real winter!

Snowdrops will do fine! We're praying for snow!
The snowdrops are looking lovely!
