Listen Up

I so enjoyed Craig Brown's 1966 And All That. I wonder how much history you have to know to appreciate it? The only joke [info]cybersofa didn't get was the one about Lord Halifax.

I particularly liked the extracts from Virginia Woolf's Diaries. A timely reminder that this is the book I most want to read at the moment.
