I've just had a phone call from the person who sorted out my problems for me, to check that everything is working OK. First she gave me the good news: a credit of three months' free broadband. I should hope so, too. Just to prove that rien n'est simple, she then said, 'whoops, I'm looking at your next bill here and it's way too high.' £350.00! Gulp. More errors. 'No panic', says this superwoman, 'I'm amending it right now.' So when this bill comes, I ignore it. Then when the amendment slip comes, I pay the bill. Why don't BT employ more people like this? Answer: they have to pay them too much. Harrumph.
