In the garden: worth waiting for

There are plants in the garden which have been flowering all summer and are still going strong: geraniums, penstemons, cosmos. Others wait until now to come into their glory and this is Anemone ‘Whirlwind’. I spotted it at the nursery sale last year and snapped it up. I knew what a good plant it was because I’d had it in my old garden. It’s so much better than the ordinary anemones which run everywhere.
