Advent calendar time

Today I opened the first window on my Talking Pictures calendar (a surprise present from huskyteer) to reveal

Peggy Cummins.
Not a household name perhaps. She died only last year, aged 92.

I’ve also activated this year’s Jacquie Lawson calendar, which shows an Edinburgh scene with lots going on. I absolutely love ‘my’ Edinburgh house and want to move in immediately. These calendars include so many charming pictures and fun activities; they’re very good value.

I've activated my Jacquie Lawson calendar as well. I love that it's Edinburgh this time, a nice reminder of my time living there. I can spend ages playing with the activities. They are worth every penny!
I've visited Edinburgh but never lived there.
Why shouldn't adults have a little fun? Again, I got the calendar free by renewing my membership. Well worth it when you have relations in Australia. The postage is shocking!
The scene of Edinburgh isn't to scale but I lived sort of between baubles no.2 and 14 halfway down the Royal Mile between the castle and Holyrood palace. I had a lovely view of Carlton Hill where the National Memorial and Nelson's Monument is. Happy memories.

I agree about the membership being worth it. I use it to send cards all over the world to various people and they all love them.
I love advent calendars x
Nothing wrong with some childish fun :-)
